Young Entrepreneurship Scheme Wales
The Young Entrepreneurship Scheme Wales has been established to
encourage local secondary school pupils to consider a future as
entrepreneurs.
The project is currently part of the ‘Llwyddo’n Lleol - Get On In Gwynedd’ Scheme, which is encouraging children (13-16 yrs) to take the initiative in their own learning and development, and to consider the possibilities of eventually setting up their own businesses.
The aim is that, by encouraging entrepreneurship, young people will want
to stay in the local area after they have finished their formal
education and will make an active contribution towards the development
of the regional economy.
The project is operating in five participating schools, and the teachers
provide as much of a ‘Real Working Environment’ as possible.
